I chatted with Maggie Koerner about her upcoming show in DC

Talk about your background, where you grew up, etc

Born and raised in Shreveport, La in the Catholic schools. I began singing in church in 5th grade. I joined a Methodist youth band in middle school, sang in the Catholic choir in high school & snuck into dive bars to sing in the blues jams/songwriter rounds.

Craziest thing you’ve ever done in life?

I stopped drinking alcohol about five years ago.

Favorite song to perform and why?

It changes each night.

What was it like filming your video “Dig Down Deep?”

Chill. Was at my house for most of it hanging out smoking spliffs. The running part was NOT chill; that was exhausting. I felt slightly manic after a couple of takes. I just wanted to get the shots.

What is the moss stressful part of being on tour?

Time management.

Are you excited about your upcoming show in DC?

Yes! I love DC so much!
