Review:
“What Lies West” isn’t your typical coming of age story. It’s incredibly well written. The script is strong and very witty. I laughed a lot and I think we all need that right now. The doobie line had me in stitches!
The film also deals with the pretty delicate subjects of trauma and letting go in a poignant way.
The standout for me is Nicolette Ellis. She’s very on point and knows how to get laughs. Hopefully we see more of her in the future. And that small bedroom she moved into after graduation? Yeesh!!
Simply, “What Lies West” is the perfect comedy for the summer season.
