“10 Things I Hate About Drew” Comedy Special Review
Drew Landry first came on my radar in 2015. I had the chance to interview him in 2024, when he released a 20 minute special AND had a show at the infamous Ottobar. Upon doing research, I found out he is a movie buff like myself. I remember us vividly dissecting the horrid film “Skinamarink”, which I hated and he loved.
Fast forward to 2025 and he has a new special out called “10 Things I Hate About Drew”. I immediately chuckled at the title, as it’s a take off the classic teen comedy “10 Things I Hate About You.”
My first impression of Drew was he was just a “cool cat.” He still has that swagger and cool vibes thing going on. He’s very confident in front of his audiences.
What I love the most about the comedy special is he’s a spit fire. Joke after joke after joke. He transitions topics so smoothly. From Eminem, to 9/11, to personal stories. The Eminem and Charlie Brown stuff had me literally LOL’ing. Without giving away the jokes, he made me look at the Peanuts gang so differently!
You should spend thirty minutes delving into Drew Landry’s comedy because he’s smart, honest, and really fucking funny.
