Bad Ferret Films announces the premiere of their indie feature Massé, Wednesday October 15

(September 22, 2014) Massé, an independent film project from Bad Ferret Films LLC (www.badferret.com) will hold its premiere at the Charles Theatre in Baltimore on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. The film stars Baltimore native and Hollywood veteran Johnny Alonso (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0022198/?ref_=tt_cl_t1) as Jack Pappas, model/actress Barb Myers as the mysterious Sara, and film and TV star Jonathon Ruckman (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1962531/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1) as Jack’s best friend Pete.  A complete list of cast/crew can be found on the Massé website (below).

The film is a highly stylized piece of contemporary noir that follows Jack Papas, a pool hustler with a shady past.  The production team worked closely with the local chapter of the American Poolplayers Association to choreograph live action pool shooting.

“We are excited to be premiering in Baltimore, where so much of our principal cast is from,” said Jay Taylor, Director of Massé. “We were lucky to enjoy an incredible amount of support in Central PA while filming, and are thrilled to be bringing the film to an audience in Baltimore before it screens anywhere else,” adds Executive Producer Courtney Shumway.
An Afterparty will be held at the Depot Nightclub from 9:00pm – 12:00am immediately following the screening, with music provided by Baltimore DJ Sean J.  Tickets to both the Premiere and the Afterparty are available online on the Massé website (http://www.massefilm.com/screenings.html).
Admission is free for members of the press.  Cast and crew will be present for red carpet photographs in advance of the screening, and to answer questions.  Interviews with principal cast and members of the production team prior to the screening may also be arranged in advance.  An online screener is available to critics and bloggers who wish to review the film prior to the public premiere.  Contact info@badferret.com to reserve a press pass, request access to the online screener, or schedule an interview.  Additional photos and videos available upon request.

Bad Ferret Films is an independent production company based out of York, PA.  The company is a partnership between Writer/Director Jay Taylor and Executive Producer Courtney Shumway, and is dedicated to excellence in film production and cinematography.

Canton Orioles Rally

I attended the Orioles rally Tuesday night in Canton. Talk about a sea of orange! First, I should point out that there aren’t many pics or videos because I forgot to charge my phone fully. Oops.

Anyway,  I arrived around 5:30pm, and there were a few hundred people there already. Food trucks lined the perimeter of the Target parking lot, along with a stage for the band Pasadena Family (who ROCKED by the way.)

I then bumped into WJZ’s Chelsea Ingram. It’s okay, be jealous.

Pasadena Family continued to rock, as crowds started to gather in front of the stage waiting for the Orioles. Jeremy Conn from 105.7 The Fan emceed the event.

By now the event had close 1,000 people in attendance..

Yup. That’s a lot of Orioles fans.

Here’s a video of Jeremy Conn introducing Quinton Berry, Wayne Kirby and Adam Jones: http://bit.ly/1qTX41B

A few tidbits:

* A drone (you read that right) flew over the area and took video of all the fans..flipping it off.
* Wayne Kirby was the first to come and meet the crowd
* On stage, Adam Jones remarked “Thanks for coming out..this is..insane.”
* Jonathan Schoop seemed pretty chill on stage. He motioned for fans to come over to the guard rails to take some pictures if they wanted.
* Kevin Gausman looked..petrified. In a good way. I don’t think he had any idea that many people would show up.
* Morgan Cox (yes THAT Morgan Cox) was a surprise guest hanging out with the Orioles. Birds of a feather.
* I heard from someone close to the players that they were grateful and surprised a ton of people showed up to support them. Of course we support them!

And finally..the Iron Man showed up.  Sort of.

I want this costume. Who wants to buy it for me?

All in all, it was a pretty awesome Orioles rally. Props to everyone for making it happen in four days!

Let’s show the Orioles, and the world, how much we support our guys. I challenge every Orioles fan (if possible) to wear Orioles gear, or something orange today, Thursday and Friday.

We Won’t Stop.
